Family medicine and Urgent Care (UCC)

Family Medicine at Duchess

The Family Medicine and Urgent Care Clinics are the first port of call for most patients entering the hospital. The clinics offer a broad range of In-House and Out-of-Hours (OOH) services.

As specialists in general practice, our family physicians are available to care for a wide range of health needs of patients irrespective of gender or age.

Our clinics are structured, and well-organised, with the advance booking of appointments between 9 am and 5 pm.

Our unique Urgent Care Centre (UCC) facilities offer a full complement of urgent primary care services on a “walk-in” basis from 5 pm until 9 am. The Urgent Care Center primarily treat injuries or illnesses requiring immediate care but not severe enough to require an emergency room visit.

Why choose us?

  • The clinics offer a combined family medicine service, available 24 hours a day (Monday to Sunday) throughout the year.
  • Patients attending these clinics receive the highest standards of care.
  • Attention is prompt and without delay. Patients requiring specialist medical attention are referred to the most appropriate clinician or on-call specialist service.
