Celebrating Womanhood Across All Stages

Celebrating Womanhood Across All Stages

Highlights from the Duchess Women’s Forum 2025

Duchess International Hospital proudly hosted its annual Women’s Forum on the 27th of March, 2025. It was a thought-provoking and inspiring event dedicated to celebrating womanhood across all stages of life. The forum brought together a distinguished panel of women leaders and experts from within the Duchess family to mark the end of the 2025 Women’s Month, showcasing the power, resilience, and diversity of women’s experiences from adolescence through to later life.

The event underscored Duchess’ ongoing commitment to fostering dialogue and support around women’s health and well-being, not only as a medical institution but also as a community that understands and uplifts its women.

A Panel of Inspiring Voices

The forum featured seven accomplished panelists, each offering a unique perspective informed by their professional expertise and personal journeys:

  • Rabiat Aderonmu, Chief Radiographer
  • Dr. Olabisi Olarenwaju, Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist
  • Dr. Faith Lawani, Consultant Paediatrician
  • Judith Gbadebo, Clinical Psychologist
  • Omobukola Ladipo, Human Resources Manager
  • Elizabeth Obaloje, Head of Pharmacy
  • Abisola Audifferen, General Operations Manager

Together, they explored the challenges and triumphs women face at different stages of their lives. Discussions ranging from puberty and fertility concerns, to motherhood, mental health, career growth, and healthy aging.

Key Themes

The discussions delved into both medical and social aspects of womanhood, such as:

  • Navigating reproductive health and the importance of preventive care.
  • Supporting women through mental health challenges.
  • Balancing professional ambitions with family life.
  • Menopause and breaking stigmas around aging.
  • Empowering women to advocate for their health and make informed choices.

Panelists also shared personal anecdotes and practical tips, creating an atmosphere of openness, empathy, and solidarity.

A Safe Space to Connect

Audience members, which included staff and online guests, engaged actively in the Q&A session, raising important questions and sharing their own stories. The forum provided a safe space to have honest conversations about topics often left unspoken. The event was a testament to Duchess’ role not just as a healthcare provider, but as a catalyst for positive social change.
