Professor Olufemi Fasanmade is a professor of Medicine and Endocrinology at the College of Medicine University of Lagos (CMUL) and has been a clinical researcher in the fields of Endocrinology, Diabetology, Metabolism and Nutrition for about 2 decades.
He obtained his MBBS degree from the University of Ibadan in 1987 and completed his residency training bagging the Fellowship of the West Africa College of Physicians in 1996 at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital. He is also a Fellow of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE). He has served as Unit Head, Endocrine Unit, Ag Head of Department of Medicine, Lagos University Teaching Hospital/College of Medicine of the University of Lagos and Vice President of the Endocrine and Metabolism Society of Nigeria and holds Membership of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes, African Society of Human Geneticists and Endocrine Society of the United Sates of America. Presently, Prof. Fasanmade is the Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee of LUTH and a board member, LUTH Management board. He is a visiting consultant at the Nigerian Navy Reference Hospital Ojo, Vantage Medical Center, Serenity Hospital, several other clinics.He has published extensively in a variety of local and international peer-reviewed journals, authored 3 books and contributed to the publication of several texts in the field of endocrinology and related disciplines.
